Ecos del Rocío
When the waves of the Atlantic Ocean were distracted caressing the fine and clean sands of the beaches of its Seafront and the sun embraced to the furrow of the plow. God wanted four Zagales to be born. Juan Manuel, Paco, Jesus and Miguel. All of them children of peasants played little and worked since boys, maybe that’s why they are aware of the path between good and bad.
The first beginnings of the group go back to the 80s, were perhaps their women (girlfriends for those years) the culprits or rather to which we have to thank them for their existence as a group since they learned to dance sevillanas and of course someone had to Sing and who better than those four zagales who drank the winds for them. They prepared some sevillanas for the pilgrimage and the fair and that was their beginning in the world of music.
Interested in the year 1982, by the group, Cultural entity Roteña, “Fundación Alcalde Zoilo Ruiz-Mateos” and remaining under his patronage during the years (1.983-86) where he began his recording career recording his first LP. In 1984.
This first work came to the market very influenced by the style of its master maestro Oliva and composer Jose Manuel Moya which had been marking the race of Romeros de la Puebla, reason why Echos of the Rocio had to divert its form to make sevillanas to arrive at To find his own personality which was not difficult, since one of its members, one of its members, “Miguel Moyares” as author and composer, who from then on marks a new style in the world of the “Sevillanas”.
Echoes are simple, noble and level people capable of becoming for a while in the idol of those who have them and want as their own and then down the stage to be Juan Manuel, Paco, Jesus and Miguel. People that fame could not mold their way by raising their feet off the ground or filling their heads with smoke. They do not know of nights without returning nor of the black horse gallop of the dark night where all the cats are brown. Always friends of their friends of always, prefer to live in their native Rota, the smell of algae and hot bread, prefer …
In their already long walk they have sang to the woman from birth until its last days and the man by fighter or perhaps by being lost in the world of drugs.
They sang to him the love, the lack of love and above all those things that happen in the street that are none other than those that happen to you and me. And of course, they have the honor of having given themselves the pleasure of enclosing all the villages of their beloved Andalusia on an album. Echoes of the Rocio with a Musical Trajectory of 30 Years, have in their Discography, 14 Discs of Gold and 2 Discs of Platinum.
